Munching on blueberries is like giving your furry pal a super boost for their health! These little blue powerhouses can jazz up aging neurons, making sure your pup's mental game stay strong. By treating them to antioxidant-rich snacks like blueberries, you're basically giving their bodies a natural multivitamin and setting up a doggy brain gym for peak performance!

INGREDIENTS

1 cup fresh blueberries

1/4 cup melted coconut oil

2 1/8 cups oat flour

DIRECTIONS

  1. First things first, preheat your oven to 350 degrees and get that baking sheet lined with parchment paper

  2. Mash those blueberries in a large bowl until they get juicy, it's okay to have large chucks just as long as each blueberry gets a smash

  3. Add the coconut oil and whisk together

  4. Toss in the oat flour and mix it all up until it forms a dough. If it's feeling too sticky sprinkle in a bit more flour

  5. On a floured surface, roll out the dough to about 1/4-inch thickness. Get creative with cookie cutters - bone shapes for that extra doggy flair!

  6. Load those cute shapes onto your prepared baking sheet and bake away for 15 minutes

  7. NOW FOR THE FUN PART...For slightly softer treats, remove from the oven after baking for 15 minutes, BUT if your dog prefers their treats extra crunchy treats, keep the treats in the oven and reduce the heat to 200 degrees and slow bake for 2 hours

  8. Whether you take the cookies out of the oven after 15 minutes or keep them in for a slow bake, once they're ready to come out allow them to cool before serving and be sure to store them in an airtight container

Helpful DogMom Tips:

  • Slowly introduce new foods to your furry friend to avoid any tummy surprises.

  • If your pup is sensitive to oat flour, swap it out with brown rice flour or wheat
